I love my work and spend quite a bit of time with it. My 8+ years of marketing experience in nearly every channel of marketing, including 8 years of digital and social media/WoM marketing, SEO, and website development has allowed me to contribute to some extremely successful marketing efforts over the years.
Having said that, I do not wish to sound self-indulgent. I thrive in an open and collaborative working environment. I am outspoken and passionate, but I love to share and develop strategies and conjure up ideas with other talented team members.
Work Stuff
I currently serve as a social media manager at Microsoft‘s Bing. As a member of the OABG Engagement Marketing Group, I develop channel and content strategies for Bing social communities, as well as manage and oversee agency direction and execution. My role includes close work with the digital campaigns, creative, and PR teams, integrating social strategies into larger marketing efforts.
“B.M.” (before Microsoft), I served as Sr. Social Strategist and SEO Editor at AREA203 Digital in Chattanooga, TN. There, I contributed my mad SEO and social media skills to the creation of a brand new website for a start-up agency. I won’t go into the details (take a look at my resume if you like), but our search results and social media successes are beginning to show. The entire experience of helping build an agency has been very rewarding for me. It is only a matter of time before the agency, as well as its clients, are all over the web. Remember, it takes patience and time for proper organic growth.
Before moving to Chattanooga, I served as marketing coordinator at Kaiser Realty, where I implemented a successful internet-wide marketing campaign, including SEO, social media, email campaigns, and PPC. Increasing Internet conversions by 125% from 2007 to 2008 and another 65% from 2008 to 2009, I helped grow market share by 20% in a very competitive marketplace. Prior to this, I served as marketing director for a dessert manufacturer that was suffering because of its lack of web presence. I successfully increased Internet sales over 300% from 2005 to 2006, using SEO, social media, and PPC channels. Success fills my entire track record.
I graduated from the University of Mississippi with a double major in Political Science and German and a minor in English: Cum Laude.
Personal Stuff
It really has been an interesting experience and a bit of a roller coaster ride, but I don’t think I would change a thing. When I am not making waves on the web, I am an extreme music enthusiast, as well as a guitarist and a drummer.
That’s just a glance, but that is all you get for now.
